What can I expect from a Secret Links custom golf package?

Your Riviera Maya custom golf package will include all the services and activities you request, in order to avoid any additional on-site or hidden charges.

From initial contact our Secret Links team will be there to accompany you right until the last minute of your trip, ensuring that the included ground transportation, accommodation, rounds of golf and any additional activities all run as smoothly as possible.

Our passion for the game, combined with decades-long experience in logistics, staffing and tourism, means that you can expect a seamless journey focused entirely on playing golf with your friends and family.

How much flexibility do I have when crafting my private golf trip with Secret Links?

Number of players

Our accommodation at Hacienda del Secreto offers a total of 24 rooms and a maximum capacity of 48 persons in double occupancy.

Villa bookings

Restrictions regarding villa bookings are as follows:

• Low season

  • August 16 through December 14

  • Minimum 3 nights

• High season

  • December 15 through August 15 (holidays excluded)

  • Minimum 5 nights

• Holiday weeks

  • US Holidays of President’s Week, Good Friday, Easter + Thanksgiving

  • Minimum 7 nights

Golf courses

We offer a choice of six different golf courses, including the possibility of playing any combination of the three 9-hole options at the Moon Palace Golf Club. You can choose to play any of these six courses, in the order you prefer, as many times as you want, subject obviously to availability at the time of booking.

What does a standard Secret Links golf package not include?

• Airport taxes

• Gratuities at Hacienda del Secreto and at selected golf courses. Suggested gratuities at Hacienda del Secreto, based on a 6 night / 7 day stay are as follows:

What do the green fees include?

Green fees on all selected golf courses include:

• Pre-game practice area and balls

• 18-hole rounds

• Golf cart (shared)

• Tees and bottled water

• Preselected lunch and on- & off-course drinks menu

• Fresh towels at the end of the game

How far in advance should I book my package to ensure availability?

To ensure the custom experience you want, we highly recommend confirming your preferred travel dates and itinerary at your earliest convenience. 

Availability plays a crucial role in crafting your ideal journey, especially during peak seasons when the golf courses and Hacienda del Secreto experience heightened demand. 

By securing your tee times and reservations promptly, we significantly increase the likelihood of fulfilling your preferences and ensuring an exceptional luxury golfing trip.

What is the optimum size of a group?

While every group possesses its unique dynamics, we find that groups of eight, nine or twelve tend to allow for effortless interaction amongst all participants while also facilitating easier access to tee times and accommodation at Hacienda del Secreto. 

Rest assured, however, that we are more than happy to cater to groups of as little as two all the way to our maximum capacity of forty-eight, always striving to ensure a personalized and memorable experience for all.

What is the best time to travel?

Regardless of the season, golfers visiting Mexico’s Riviera Maya will always be able to enjoy stunning courses amidst lush, tropical landscapes, making it a year-round destination for enthusiasts.

During what is traditionally the high season (November through April), warm, dry weather prevails, offering ideal playing conditions. However, the popularity of this season, especially for North Americans looking to escape cold winters, also leads to increased demand for both accommodation and golf courses.

Conversely, the low season (May to October) sees higher humidity and occasional rain showers, potentially affecting playability. Yet, this period offers lower rates and a much less crowded destination, attracting visitors seeking a more tranquil experience.
